Your Best Employee, A Website

Your best employee is your website. Always on time, always putting your best face forward. Neglect your best employee and it could hurt your business.

What’s better, a sharply dressed employee or one that hasn’t bought a new shirt in a decade? Someone who takes on new jobs and responsibilities, or someone who is just content sitting at the front desk?

Like Your Best Employee, Your Website Should Stand Out

Like it or not, at its most basic, a website acts like a storefront and a receptionist all rolled up into one. And, like a storefront, a business’s website should be dynamic and forever changing to what works for the customer’s wants. Rather putting new stock by the door in a retail store, or putting awards and recognition in an office.

Websites can work the same way. A dynamic website is one where the overall look and feel stays the same, but with fresh content being moved in and out when appropriate. For instance, any website can be turned into your company’s blog with a little know how. Many business have begun using them as a way to communicate with their customers and let them know what’s new, what’s different, and what the company has done.

Once a blog system is setup, it’s not difficult to have all that news pushed to social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Not only is this free advertising and a great opportunity to get in touch with customers, it is a great way to increase a company’s search engine optimization (SEO). Meaning, Google is more likely to show a website when someone is looking for it.

Dynamic Websites Draw In Google…

Much like any local news station or magazine, the more you let Google know what’s going on at your business, the more likely it’ll be featured by Google.

Like an employee, a bit of upfront investment is all that is needed to make someone go from not meeting your expectations, to exceeding them. And once that employee is trained, productive, and knows how to work with the team, the return on investment just keeps growing.

Your Website Is Your Best Employee, Your best Referral, Your Best Reference

So, consider your website. Do you want a dynamic member of your team who is willing to adapt to your growing needs while championing your business, or something boring, predictable, and static.

Be dynamic.
